Being Truly Wrong: Enlightened Nihilism or Unbound Naturalism?

Abstract I present an account of nihilism, following Foucault and Nietzsche, as a sort colonization our thinking by religious form normativity, grounded in submission to truth correspondence, the idea that facts themselves could be binding upon us. then Brassier’s radicalization nihilism showed how it remains subservient this ideal truth. argue, further, far than showing commitment Enlightenment reason science demands cold metaphysics death, dismissing irreducibly plural ways which what is determines thought, attempt secure fit between thought disenchanted world suggests view expression unliveable condition rather its proof. Finally, naturalism makes legitimate claim legacy Enlightenment, drawing from French historical epistemology, dispenses with problems animating radically transforming concept we relate it.
